During these challenging and unique times, it was a real bright spot for our school community to welcome back our Year 11 pupils to receive their GCSE results.
After the much-publicised uncertainty of how the grades would be calculated and awarded, we are very proud to announce that 52.3% of our pupils achieved a grade 4 or higher in both English and Maths. An increase of 10% on 2019. In Science 68% of pupils gained 4+ in both Sciences.
In terms of higher grades, this year’s set of results again saw an increase of pupils achieving a 5+ in English and Maths with 33.1% of pupils achieving this benchmark. A 7% increase on the previous year.
Across subjects we had pupils achieve the highest possible grades in English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, French and Psychology.
This year has seen the pupils and staff challenged like no other and the results that the pupils achieved are a credit to themselves and their teachers over their five years of study.
We wish the class of 2020 all the best for the future
